Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup pickle juice
- 1 cup Orange Fanta
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Chicken Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken breasts on both sides until well-seared.
Sauce Preparation:
4. In a bowl, mix pickle juice, Orange Fanta, white vinegar, soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Chicken Glazing:
5. Place the seared chicken breasts in a baking tray.
6. Pour half of the prepared sauce over the chicken.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked, basting it with the remaining sauce every 10 minutes.
Serving:
8. Remove the chicken from the oven and serve it hot.
9. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Accompaniment:
10. Serve over white rice, quinoa, or with steamed vegetables to complete the meal.
