Ingredients:
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 cantaloupe melon, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- Thin orange slices for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a medium pan over medium heat, combine pears, melon, sugar, water, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the fruits are tender and the sauce has reduced and glazed the fruits.
2. While the fruits are cooking, melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted. Let it cool slightly.
3. Paint the inside of the cups with the melted chocolate, creating an artistic pattern if desired. Allow the chocolate to solidify slightly.
4. Once the glazed fruits are ready, strain the liquid and set aside the glazed fruits.
5. In a small saucepan, heat the orange juice until it reaches a boil. Reduce the heat and add the melted chocolate pieces. Stir until the chocolate is fully incorporated with the orange juice, creating a smooth and shiny sauce.
6. Place the glazed fruits inside the chocolate cups and decorate with thin orange slices.
7. Gently pour the chocolate sauce over the fruits and cups.
8. Let everything cool and solidify completely before serving.
This delicious and artistic dessert will surely captivate even the most misbehaving kids. Enjoy!
